1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write a paragraph describing your knowledge of a field of study. View the accompanying Power Point presentation on details of how to write this paragraph.

3. Write four questions beginning with "Which" when asking someone about their current knowledge of a field of study and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Which topic is Susan interested in?
Answer: How to develop expert and comparative abilities that match the rapid changes in regulation and innovation, such as those in the United States.
Example: Which organization has gained entry into recently?
Answer: the World Trade Organization

4. Ask a person two questions beginning with "Which" about his or her current knowledge of a field of study. Write down each question and its one or two sentence reply. You can select from among the following questions from the above listening exercise as models for the questions that you ask:
Which factor motivates Susan the most to pursue a graduate degree in International Finance?
Which career is Susan interested in pursuing after she completes a degree in International Finance?
Which topic is Susan interested in researching during graduate school?
