1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write the first part of an abstract for your work or research project by briefly introducing the background, objective and methodology. View the accompanying two Power Point presentations on details of how to write this assignment.

3. Write four questions regarding the background, objective and methodology of one’s research project in which the person must respond with “Yes” or “No”. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Does Richard’s network portfolio system combine the flexibility of a network with the storage capacity of a computer?
Answer: Yes, it does.
Example: Does your methodology involve simulating a factory environment?
Answer: Yes, it does.
