III. Post-Listening Exercise [Top]
1. Read the audiotranscript with a partner or change some of the information to adapt it to your situation.

2. Write the first part of a recommendation letter for advanced study, which includes an: Introduction and your (or your teacher's) qualification for making such a recommendation. View the accompanying Power Point presentation on details of how to write this paragraph.

3. Write four questions beginning with "Where" when recommending someone for advanced study, and then answer them. The question does not have to come directly from the listening exercise.
Example: Where does Mary want to study for a master's degree?
Answer: UCLA
Example: Where did you work during your summer vacation in which you gained valuable experiences which will benefit your graduate study?
Answer: I worked in a law firm.
